Best Ibiza coves without crowds in August

August is the busiest month in Ibiza, but some coves still feel calm if you combine an early start with the right area.

Quick answer

Quiet coves even in August: Cala Xuclar (north, very small and local), Cala d'en Serra (very photogenic but reached by track), Pou des Lleó (very Ibizan, zero posing), Cala Olivera (discreet and close to Ibiza Town), Es Codolar (quiet in the south), Cala Carbó (local, near Cala d'Hort), Cala Llentrisca (hidden, with a long walk). Strategy: arrive before 10:00. Avoid weekends in the popular west-coast coves such as Cala Conta, Cala Bassa and Cala Salada. Always keep one alternative on the same coast.

How to decide better

  • Cala Xuclar, Pou des Lleó and Es Codolar stay the calmest even in August.
  • Arrive before 10:00. After 11:00 the small coves start to fill up.
  • If one cove is full, do not waste time. Go straight to your backup option.
